By 2024, The Flappy Bird Foundation announced that it had purchased trademarks and game rights to revitalize the game. At the head of the organization is Michael Roberts, who is well known in the gaming world.
The revamped Flappy Bird is expected to be released on web browsers at the end of October. iOS and Android apps will return in 2025 with new game modes, progression features, multiplayer modes. Of course, there will be new characters.
